[ After a while, certainly over an hour but Anxiety could not say exactly how long, the Panic Room is mostly tidy. The the debris and decorations are stacked neatly in a corner – there there was no trash to put them in, and he cannotwould not open the door to the chaos of the greater lab to dispose of it. Pathetic. ]
[ All of the books have been shelved, save save for the one that was dropped by the couch. Anxiety is is very focusedly pretending that one does not exist. Nothing there, tidy room. Blanket neatly foldedd, useless phone on the hook, everyeverything in its place. It it looks more or less as it did originally. ]
[ His eyes flit to the book on the floor. He he pretends they didn’t, and adresses his terminal. ]
* [While he had been waiting for a message back from Anx, Flaps had busied himself getting his own home ready. Cleaning up in the living room, getting some food together….. Mostly just to pass the time in between checking his phone, but it kept him distracted.]

[TXT] I wwould very much appreciate it if yoou could host. Uunfortunately, the portal ssystem I had been developing is… offline.

and learn to recognize ‘polite’ responses of letting someone down, please. If someone is interested in what you have to offer, they’ll let you know from the start. There is no ‘press the chase’ with a stranger over text so if they seem vague or unintersted, that usually means ‘plz let’s talk friendly only’ or simply ‘go away.’
And to add, the above applies even if it’s “not IC” for your character.
It doesn’t matter if you have a gross lech of a character who doesn’t give a shit about whether anyone around them approves, because those characters also need to operate on OOC consent.
I say that as someone who HAS a gross lech of a character and, if someone lets me know OOC that they’re uncomfortable by the stuff he does, I stop and have him go elsewhere or tone it down. Even before that, even if it’d be technically IC for him to, say, slap some stranger on the ass and make a lewd comment about their body, I still don’t do that without talking to the other player OOC first because I don’t know how the other player would feel about that OOC and for ANY kind of sexual behavior, it requires OOC consent before you start with the IC stuff.
If you try to use, “But, it’s IC for my character to do that!” I have some bad news about how shitty your OOC personality is…
