* [WELL. That decision sure is made. They take a breath before slapping a few lines of code in there to essentially freeze the beast up – at least enough to keep it from fucking off – and then they copy the uncorrupted code into another window to work on it. This… Is going to take a lot of work, but they need to get them! Unfused.]

* [As they work, a hand reaches up to pat alll the way at the top of it’s head. Gotta love floating hands.]

[✱ Its appearance seems standard enough. Big ugly slug with big ugly teeth, with.. white eyes? Though, they’re shaped oddly and not identical at all. The chasm that was its mouth was pitch-black, with no trace of any of the greyfaces that had been eaten.

Oddly, it seems Runi has full access to every piece of the beast’s code. Obviously, there are bits that prove this mostly is Contempt, but… Remorse’s code is in here, too. Along with timeline tags and zone variables.

This isn’t just Contempt and Remorse.

It’s their entire sector, amalgamated into this ferocious, emotional hellbeast.]

* [Good fuckin lord above. Well…. That explains a couple things at least! They let out a low breath as this realization hits them, giving the beast another pat.]

* [Shitty joke? Shitty joke. But they sure can relate to this whole…. “i am my house” deal going on.]

* [They aren’t too sure what to do moving forwards, though…. Unfusing them could be disastrous, and so could leaving them like this. For now they’re going to just keep to trying to keep the creature calm, and focused on them.]

The roaring continues, each one shorter than the last before it just.. devolves into loud, growled sobs. Well, at least Runi could get a better look at it now that it wasn’t hellbent on trying to eat them.]

* [Once it calms some, they Do make a point to try and inspect…. Beyond just looking the poor thing over, they pop a code window up too. Time to figure out what the High Heckin Hell is going on here, or at least try to.]

It’s hard to tell if the beast even understands what they’re saying, and even harder to tell if it can respond in the same capacity.. poor thing.]

* [They won’t talk further, for now, but they’re definitely doing what they can to get the point across – they aren’t going away anytime soon.]

[✱ It turns and watches them as they approach, silent and still.. before abruptly charging towards them with the intent to consume them whole. Of course, with Runi just being a projection.. it doesn’t really do much of anything.

This seems to frustrate the beast, and it roars loudly, almost seeming to shake the void around it.]

* [YIKE. That’s something they’re going to have stuck on the mind for a while. They stand their ground, though, holding out their hand towards it again. Gotta keep firm with this…]
