But, in other news: the code seems fairly straightforward to edit and separate, even if Remorse is mixed in there pretty deeply. The sector code just seems to be tacked on at the end.]

Because, with just enough pressure, the beast splits and oozes grossly between Runi’s fingers, like if you took a slug and gave it the physical properties of wet bread. After splitting, it slides away and reconnects seamlessly.]

[✱ Corruption is slowly overtaking its code, garbling variables and making them unreadable.. before that crackle of green magic shows itself again, and it’s all back to normal.

The beast breathes heavily, trembling a little before it lets out another weak, anguished roar. No doubt it’s in a great deal of physical pain, on top of the emotional distress..]

* [WELL. That decision sure is made. They take a breath before slapping a few lines of code in there to essentially freeze the beast up – at least enough to keep it from fucking off – and then they copy the uncorrupted code into another window to work on it. This… Is going to take a lot of work, but they need to get them! Unfused.]

* [As they work, a hand reaches up to pat alll the way at the top of it’s head. Gotta love floating hands.]

[✱ Its appearance seems standard enough. Big ugly slug with big ugly teeth, with.. white eyes? Though, they’re shaped oddly and not identical at all. The chasm that was its mouth was pitch-black, with no trace of any of the greyfaces that had been eaten.

Oddly, it seems Runi has full access to every piece of the beast’s code. Obviously, there are bits that prove this mostly is Contempt, but… Remorse’s code is in here, too. Along with timeline tags and zone variables.

This isn’t just Contempt and Remorse.

It’s their entire sector, amalgamated into this ferocious, emotional hellbeast.]
