A small change of pace here guys. Not sure how to word this so let’s just dive right in, shall we?
I said a while back that this was a “Salt Blog”. I was later told that a more fitting term was ‘Vent’. Both felt interchangeable but I guess my understanding was that a Salt blog was for you to express a distaste for that thing you really hate.
While a Vent blog was a way to purge yourself of negative emotions.
With careful consideration, I think I can safely say it’s both. And while having elements of a help blog, (My occasional posting on abusive behaviors and how to deal with them), I cannot safely say that this is a help blog. Officially anyway. Unofficially, I still hope to post information others find useful. At least in ways, so they can spot the red flags in their lives that I missed in mines. (Then go find real help because GOD what am I even doing here? How am I alive?)
Saying this, this blog is not purely a vent/salt blog. It is first and foremost a character blog.
Angelhair is a real character you can interact with.
He has a story. He has a path. He has a voice.
And if he makes you uncomfortable, that’s the point kiddo.
You’re not supposed to be comfortable with his behaviors. You’re not supposed to like him. Villians aren’t always hulking figures with cute ascetics with no-risk storytelling.
Sometimes they make you take a good hard look at yourself. Every person has their flaws, but that doesn’t mean you’re above self-improvement. No one is. I’m certainly not.
Angel’s greatest flaw is that he thinks this. He thinks he already the perfect end product. He mistakes ‘guilt’ or any negative emotions as just pure anxiety that can be stomped down. He keeps himself in a toxic little bubble where he’s always right and everyone else is just out to get him.
I made this blog because I was full of ugly feelings. I wasn’t lying when I said writing this muse was cathartic. Because oh hell, is it ever that.
To my father that rewrites history. To strangers willing to throw you under the bus for their own self-gain. To so-called friends that use use use useonly to trash you once you have nothing left to give. To stone steppers to popularity. To users and the abusers. Yeah. The salt is mined from somewhere.
And I’m tired. So tired. And I’m as angry as I am tired.
Anyways.
The blog isn’t going anywhere.
Expect a large tone shift in the near future. I need to sleep so the IC posts will have to wait for tomorrow morning.
If you’ve sent anon hate and told someone to kill themselves over things as simple as RP, please unfollow me. Hateful people like you are not welcome here.
just a heads up, guys. the tumblr staff is at it again. they’re going through and not only tagging blogs as explicit with no way for you to get it changed without removing whatever it was they decided was explicit on your blog in the first place before you PETITION them to change it, but they’re also turning safe mode on for everyone. basically they’re censuring blogs for their content and then making it so others can’t see the content they have chosen to be censured. rather than, you know, allowing us to self-police, which has been working for years, long before they gave us even a basic tool for filtering tags.
so if you start seeing blogs with blurred out icons or safe mode posts, you know it’s your turn to go turn safe mode back off.
(( Hey Guys who wants to read Suffering!! we got part of a big plot rose is doing for hope done last night and this is the log of what went down in the café
